“Our Soil” was a 2020 collaborative project between myself, Angela Buras, and Madeline Montero, to create a short, educational comic for the Our Soil research team at our university, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The comic is designed to help raise awareness for the issue of lead in our soil and its effects, particularly in old industrial cities like Troy, New York, where RPI is located and the comic’s environments are inspired by. A Spanish translation was also produced to broaden the comic’s reach.
